What I’d fully regret not fully doing is…

What I’d regret not fully doing is serving God. I mean, he is the Santa Claus of blessings. His blessings are amazing and come in all shapes and sizes. I truly believe the only thing I would fully regret is not praising his All Mighty name, there is no limit in who I can be and what I can become when I have Jesus beside me.

I recently had an encounter with God where the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said “I will take care of your problems if only if you will praise my name everyday”. For the most part this sounded very easy but in practice it isn’t, especially when one is discouraged by a million and one problems.

Nevertheless, that’s the deal God made with me ‘My problems solved in exchange for praising His Name’. Best Deal Ever! Amen.

What Makes Me Smile?

What makes me smile is making others happy. I recently hurt someone badly and can’t get over it. I mean I pray to God everyday that he takes away all of the guilt inside of me for hurting someone I love dearly. Honestly, its worked wonders I don’t feel as guilty anymore and I’m working every single day to show the person I hurt how much he means to me by praying and doing what is right even without his presence.

He may never be aware of it but Jesus is, and through him being my witness I believe everything will fall into place as it were meant to be. However, in general what makes me happy is helping people, sometimes people have taken advantage of my friendliness and willingness to provide a helping hand. Yet, not for any moment have I let my bad experiences determine my happiness, to determine me.

They could have it worse than me…

Its only normal for us as human beings to be afraid and feel insecurity when faced with problems, especially when the only solution to the problem requires us to sacrifice a big part of who we are. Yet we never realize how someone else might have it worse than we do. In high school I remember  one of my very good friends told me this phrase, and at the time it did make some sense but little did I realize there’s much wisdom in the words uttered by this young man.

Years later his words make much sense than that day in high school when we were just kids stuck with teen problems.  Sure walking downtown I cant help but literally bump into individuals who are financially far worse than I can ever be. Yet we never think of the woman in the exclusive boutique view could have it worse than me spiritually, that the pretty girl which every man drools over has it worse than me emotionally, we just will never know. But one thing is for sure, there’ll always be someone who has it worse than me.

Time or Money?

I’d definitely have to go with time as ‘it can never be wasted’ as my beautiful mother always says. My biggest fear is leaving this world not being able to make any man happy and changing my last name to his, is not having gorgeous kids, is not having time to praise Jesus, as I happily should. I’m very much afraid of greed and having sleepless nights because I’m afraid the drop in the stock market will have an effect on my assets.

For me to claim that I do not want any form of success and wealth would be a blatant lie. Of cause I want all things nice and beautiful, but not at the expense of my happiness. I remember an ex-boyfriend telling my once that I’d end up a successful woman all lonely in a mansion by myself. He was right, only part he left is I’d be lonely in a mansion missing my husband who’d be away from me on a business trip to Singapore. Classic Me!

If I had to teach something it would be…

If I had to teach something it would have to be fashion because I LOVE FASHION WITH A PASSION! I mean who on earth would go ahead and teach someone or a group of individuals something they’re not passionate about? Surprisingly a lot of people. I would be damned to mention any names but what I have come to discover with regard to  varsity and personal experience, for some strange reason some lecturers go about their jobs only as means to make the mortgage bond, pay the rent or car installment.

Seriously! I think at times some are just clueless in what they’re doing. Let me stop with the teacher bashing, I’d teach fashion as its one of my greatest interests. Although I’d never go as far as fashion designing (cause of my not so excellent drawing!) I’d like to work for a fashion house or within the Advertsing / Communications Industry and perhaps land a cool fashion account such Levi Strauss or Gucci. It’ll happen eventually… Hopefully soon enoughJ.
