Yes,
its very courageous to laugh when you’re the wife whose husband is having an
affair with their twenty-two year old PA, when you you’re the girl whose
labeled a slut because she got raped in a dodgy loo in the club downtown, when
you know you have a certain amount of time to live as you’re one of many
individuals with a certain terminal disease.
The truth is, laughing takes a lot of courage. Naturally as individuals, we have a million and one problems to deal with yet within us lies a place for a laugh, giggle, a smile. The reason we are able to ‘laugh’ it all off is because we were never created to be miserable. If anything, I believe each and every one of us was born to live a happy, fulfilling, holistic life. So for the most part, laughing not only shows a great deal of courage, but even greater : the character of a soul.
