Time or Money?

I’d definitely have to go with time as ‘it can never be wasted’ as my beautiful mother always says. My biggest fear is leaving this world not being able to make any man happy and changing my last name to his, is not having gorgeous kids, is not having time to praise Jesus, as I happily should. I’m very much afraid of greed and having sleepless nights because I’m afraid the drop in the stock market will have an effect on my assets.

For me to claim that I do not want any form of success and wealth would be a blatant lie. Of cause I want all things nice and beautiful, but not at the expense of my happiness. I remember an ex-boyfriend telling my once that I’d end up a successful woman all lonely in a mansion by myself. He was right, only part he left is I’d be lonely in a mansion missing my husband who’d be away from me on a business trip to Singapore. Classic Me!

If I had to teach something it would be…

If I had to teach something it would have to be fashion because I LOVE FASHION WITH A PASSION! I mean who on earth would go ahead and teach someone or a group of individuals something they’re not passionate about? Surprisingly a lot of people. I would be damned to mention any names but what I have come to discover with regard to  varsity and personal experience, for some strange reason some lecturers go about their jobs only as means to make the mortgage bond, pay the rent or car installment.

Seriously! I think at times some are just clueless in what they’re doing. Let me stop with the teacher bashing, I’d teach fashion as its one of my greatest interests. Although I’d never go as far as fashion designing (cause of my not so excellent drawing!) I’d like to work for a fashion house or within the Advertsing / Communications Industry and perhaps land a cool fashion account such Levi Strauss or Gucci. It’ll happen eventually… Hopefully soon enoughJ.

If I had a friend who spoke to me the same way I sometimes speak to myself, how long would I want them to remain my friend?

The answer to this question is: Forever. I don’t always say the most nicest things about myself but for the most part I do love myself. Its only natural sometimes for us to say nasty things about The Self, the one thing I always carry on about is my weight. Bashing myself over my waist size will not change anything really, if anything it will build unnecessary insecurities within me which I so do not need! Thank you !

Looking at myself as I write this piece and reflecting on the things that I have said intricately, if I had a friend who spoke to me the same way I spoke to myself today, they would have no other option but stay. Simply Put.

O.B.A.M.A - Obviously Best At Managing America

This was a tweet DJ Sbu (@IAMDJSbu) on Twitter. I actually liked it a lot, this clearly was how majority of Americans were thinking this week on Tuesday when Barrack Obama won a second term to serve as President of one of the most powerful nations, America.

I wasn’t the least surprised when I received the news of his victory, the best man won. Yet I couldn’t help but applaud Mitt Romney on being a tough competitor and making Obama run for his money that he sure gave him!

Hardly three days after his re-election President Barrack Obama had a meeting with Republican leaders on a way forward in solving a potential fiscal crisis. Cant be easy being the president of the United States, but one thing for sure if there’s anyone who is more than able and willing to steer the ship in the right direction, it’s the man on the hour, Barrack ‘Mr. Yes We can’ Obama.

“CAN I GET AN ENCORE?”

This is one of my favorite tunes by Jay-Z featuring Linkin Park, not really a Linkin Park fan but I couldn’t help but be bombarded with happy tweets stating the excitement and hype  of their performance in Green Point stadium  Wednesday night (07 November 2012).
I remember late Wednesday eve waiting in anticipation on tweets and tweet pic updates on the performance of the Californian group on Twitter only to read something posted on by my Media Studies lecturer, Marian Pike that was rather shocking.

She retweeted a number, which was distributed to contact ‘Next of kin of victims’, Linkin Park accident. Was still quite unsure what she was on about up until I went on to Google and did a search. There it was: 20 injured in Linkin Park concert, shocking. I was praying that none of my fellow classmates was amongst the injured, my prayers were answered none of them were injured. Thank you Jesus Christ.
